March 1st

Dear Adilynn,

Well baby girl, we can actually say you are a month old despite the fact that you didn't have an "actual day" you turned one month old. I can't believe it. It blows my mind. I'm sure you should get used to me commenting how fast you are growing up. Not only will I mention it throughout this blog, but also through the rest of your life. I promised myself I would not be one of "those moms" that are sappy and what not, but it truly blows my mind. You will understand once you become a mom. :)

We have a busy day planned. After we both got dressed, fed and ready, Grandma DeDe met us for another walk. This time at our house. She walked with us for a while, but had to go home. We continued our walk together. I love this time with you. It was a beautiful day, in the 80s. As we walked, I loved praying and talking to God. Thanking Him for you and praying for you and our family. It's amazing the love I felt from the Lord. I pray for your relationship with the Lord, for He is the foundation our family is built on. I pray you always know that. Such a special time--just you, me and the Lord.

After our walk we got ready for our big outing for the day. We are going to Irving to listen to Todd Burpo, author of "Heaven is for Real," speak. You were going to spend the evening with dad, but he is still sick. So we packed up and you went with me. This is a very special book to your me and your dad. We read it together while I was pregnant with you, and the kids version was the first book we bought for you. We met DeDe and headed that way. We met Grandpa Terry there as well.
Here we are before the service :)

I fed you once we got there, and strangely for you, you started crying right when the service started. We spent the first hour in the cry room together. Poor thing, you've been having an upset stomach. I think that was the problem. Once you settled down, we were able to listen to the last half of the service. You can sleep through practically anything. One of the most impressive recent examples to me was the Tarleton TexAnn basketball game. However, tonight you do not like it when an applause breaks out. You jumped every time there was an applause. Funny. We got home pretty late, but you were such a trooper. I love you!

Love,
Mom
