Today is your first Leap Day. However, I have mixed emotions about it because February only has 29 days (this year), and since you were born on the 30th, you don't officially have a one month birthday. Silly, I know. Its probably a new mom thing, and I know it really does not matter in the grand scheme of things.
Today started in my most favorite way--cuddled with you. You and I are still waking up about 2-3 times a night. You are eating every 3 hours, and are eating more and more. It amazes me how quickly you are growing. Sometimes I think you have your days and nights mixed up because you sometimes sleep quite a bit during the day, but routinely wake up during the night to eat. However, the early morning is one of my favorite times with you. After I feed you your bottle, you quickly fall back asleep, and even though "the experts" say not to, I like to lay you beside me as we catch a morning nap together. Of course I am extremely careful to make sure you are in no danger whatsoever.
Even though I claim you have your days and nights mixed up, today you stayed awake from 9:30-2:00, which is the longest you have stayed awake during the day. Another sign of you growing up! At about 2:30, your Grandma DeDe came over to go into town for another walk. I really enjoy our walks together, and I think you do too because you sleep the entire time. After our 1 hour walk we made our first big trip to the grocery store. Again, you were such a trooper as you slept the entire time.
When we got home, we both relaxed together. Dad had a basketball game out of town and was not expected home until late. He misses you because he has been sick the last three days and refuses to touch you because he doesn't want to risk you getting sick. He is constantly reminding me about the withdrals he is suffering. He really loves you Adilynn. This evening Pops brought dinner to us and visited with us both. I truly believe you already have Pops wrapped around your little finger. I have never seen him glow as much as he does when he is with you.

After Pops left, we snuggled on the couch until dad got home. You were so tired from our busy day that you could not even keep your pacifier in your mouth!
It is amazing how my love grows for you each day. Every day I don't think it could grow anymore, but it does. I love you.
Love,
Mom
